Jean Baptiste Camille Corot's "Jeune femme a la fontaine" is going on sale at the Sotheby's auction on June 2, 2010 for an estimated $1.8 million. This piece was actually stolen from the original owner in 1938 by the Nazis and ended up in a museum in The Netherlands. This piece reminds me of a painting that my mother had in her room for years when I was growing up so it automatically demanded my attention.
